3 TIPS to help reduce morning sickness during pregnancy

My wife was in her first trimester of pregnancy when she experiencing nausea or vomiting on the smell of certain food . This is the most common morning sickness for most women during the first trimester of pregnancy and here are some tips which can help easing this sickness:

a. Maltose syrup
I came across of this book which is written in Chinese that mentioned taking Maltose syrup can help eased morning sickness. Out of curiosity i bought those to get my wife to try. Maltose syrup is actually a type of sugar and its not easy to find.

Maltose, also known as maltobiose or malt sugar, is a disaccharide formed from two units of glucose joined with an α bond, formed from a condensation reaction. The isomer isomaltose has two glucose molecules linked through an α bond (source wikipedia)

Simply scoop the syrup a spoonful and dipped in a glass of warm water. you can drink it slowly while watching TV or reading your favourite book.

You can’t find it anywhere but certain Chinese medicine shop. i found this maltose syrup at Taman Megah, PJ near the Petworld. After taking it for the first time, all the gas in my wife's stomach starts to purge out and she feels better.

b. Honey, Ginger & Lemon

If option 1 won't work on you, try option 2. simple cut 2 slice of ginger (Not too much as adding too much will be pungent), a slice of lemon and a spoon of honey in a glass of warm water. remember not to use metal spoon with honey as it will cause reaction. use natural honey instead of the fake ones. there are much more benefits of honey which you can read up in this link:

My wife also tried this remedy and it work well for her. much better than maltose syrup. you try it and maybe give me your opinion.
A glass mug of ginger tea
c. Avoid spicy & oily food
best remedy was simply avoid these food during the first trimester. eat all you want later. my wife was having craving for french fries after avoiding these food for some time. she was fine and all that until she start eating those french fries. she start to become very nausea nd having a lot of discomfort. that teaches her a lesson that never to eat oily food especially spicy ones.
